Thomas B. Brown, 70, of Willow Lake, died Monday, January, 25, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Clark.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 29, 2010 from 11 am- 1pm at Arne-Weerts Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00. Rev. Kathy Hibbert will officiate. Danny Schmidt will play guitar and sing Amazing Grace and The Old Rugged Cross.
Burial will be private, at a later date.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff and residents of the Golden Living Center.
Thomas was born in Slippery Rock County, PA on July 9, 1939 to Thomas V. and Ruth (Nightwine) Brown. During his younger years, he drove truck with his father. Thomas married Lois Townsend on September 8, 1967 in Lincoln, NE. They settled in Carpenter and moved to Willow Lake in 1968. Thomas worked for Schmidt Implement for over 15 years. He worked at the potato plant in Clark for over 5 years. Thomas also worked for various farmers in the Willow Lake area. Thomas enjoyed breaking horses, playing pool, visiting and joking with friends, boxes of reading, playing cards and watching football every Sunday.
Thomas is survived by his wife Lois M. Brown of Willow Lake; a daughter, Laina (Scott) Strohfus of Watertown; three grandchildren, Devin, Bryce and Clayton Blocker; a son, Roy V.(Michele) Brown and family of PA, many friends and family in Pennsylvania, mother-in-law, Helena Townsend of Willow Lake.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Joshua Blocker.
