Ardelle C. Fullmer, 77, formerly of Willow Lake, passed away on February 23rd, 2010 at Southridge Health Care Center in Sioux Falls.
Ardelle was born in Bryant on August 26, 1932 to Arthur and Rena (Thoreson) Maifield. She attended and graduated from Willow Lake High School. She graduated in the class of 1950. She married Theron Fullmer on June 29, 1956 in Layton, Utah. Ardelle lived in Utah and Idaho before returning to Willow Lake. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church, Lioness, American Legion Auxiliary. She worked at Pilsbury elevators in Ogden, UT and over 25 years at Raven Industries in DeSmet.
Ardelle loved to cook many things including her famous lefse, quilting, playing cards and visiting friends. She had a love for the Lord in which her faith sustained her through her entire life.
Ardelle is survived by sons, Arthur (Lori) Fullmer of St Anthony, ID; John (Beth) Fullmer of Watertown; and daughter, Carol Steen (Mike Morken) Sioux Falls, grandchildren, Darin, Jeremy, Jessica, Christina, Derik, Alecia Fullmer, Ben Roe, Niesje Roe, one great-granddaughter, step-children Eldon Fullmer of Teton, ID, Blake Fullmer of Carmichael, CA, Renae Welch of Jerome, ID and eight step-grand children.
Ardelle is preceded in death by her parents, brother Leon Maifield, sister Ruby Herker and infant brother.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 26, 2009 from 5-7 PM at Grace Lutheran Church in Willow Lake.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2009 at Grace Lutheran Church at 11:30 AM with visitation starting at 10:30 AM with Pastor Dave Larson officiating. Organist will be JoAnn Eggleston. Congregational Hymns will be “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art”. Soloist will be Lisa Bruley singing "On Eagle's Wings".
Pallbearers will be Creig Maifield, Arthur Maifield, Brent Herker, Darin Fullmer, Jeremy Fullmer, Derik Fullmer, Nick Fullmer and Ben Roe.
Burial will be held in the spring at Pleasant Lutheran Cemetery of rural Vienna.
