HISTORY
In 1986 Lynn and Blair Arne purchased the building at 200 North Utah Street.  Lynn had previously been a funeral director at Haugland Funeral Home for 2 years. She built her reputation on being compassionate and caring in a time of great need. Unfortunately, her untimely death in 2008 left the Clark community in shock.  In March of 2009, Blair Arne sold the funeral home to Eric Weerts.  Eric had previously been in Ohio managing a corporate funeral home.  He changed the name to Arne-Weerts Funeral Home. Eric kept the Arne name because he is honoring Lynn for her compassionate efforts that made her successful in this community.

Director Assistant

Anita became friends with Lynn Arne about 16 years ago and then started to assist with funerals. “I grew up in a large family and attended many funerals. I noticed how compassion and dignity played a big role in the preparation of a funeral. This has been important to me for most of my life. It is a great feeling when all is said and done that the family is pleased and all went well; to me this is what matters.” Since Eric has purchased the funeral home, Anita has been an important part of tying together things of the past, with Eric’s vision for the future. Anita has been married to Jon Vos for 22 years. They have two children, Zack (Junior at SDSU) and Whitney (Senior at Clark High School). Jon and Anita run a farm and cattle ranch west of Clark. She likes to cook, bake, crafts, gardening, fix and build. Anita is active in school and community projects.
